Calm Care

We understand that some pets can become stressed and fearful with routine vet visits and procedures. Having many years of expertise and understanding in animal behaviour we are able to offer a range of Calm Care options for our patients who might become anxious and stressed when visiting the Vet. 

Our expert team is trained in gentle animal handling and restraint which helps us achieve many more positive outcomes.

In some cases when the stress and fear can be overwhelming we are able to prescribe calming medications which can be given prior to vet visits or procedures. These calming medication can also be very useful for other stressful events such as grooming visits, travel, or dogs who may suffer from thunderstorm phobias.

Should your pet ever need to have surgery or a procedure performed we can also incorporate our calm care sedation prior to admission.

For those pets who may become overly anxious upon admission we encourage pet parents to remain with their pet whilst the calming sedation takes affect, which can also help reduce their angst and make for a much smoother and more relaxed procedure.
